Sony has just announced a new camera, not the A7Siii, but the A6400. They’ve finally created a camera suitable for the YouTubers of this world. Here are the technical specifications:
- – A FLIP screen that will finally let you film yourself
– 4K recording at 30fps (like the a6300 and a6500 predecessors).
– 4K recording is reduced to 6K, so it will be very SHARP. - – Supports Slog2, Slog3 and HLG (like Sony A7iii)
- – ISO up to 32,000, greatly enhancing low-light performance
- – AF capability similar to A7iii and a9
- – Rear touchscreen supports touch focus
- – Microphone input for external microphones (you don’t know how this will work with the tilting screen)
- – No IBIS 😭
- – Same battery as the a6300 and a6500 (not great, given their current capacity)
- – The new timelapse recording feature adds a built-in interval (no Sony PlayMemories application required! SUPER! )
Price: $900 US pre-order Release date: February 2019 You can pre-order on B&H from January 17 at 1 pm Pre-order: https: //bhpho.to/2T1YL3T The price is extremely interesting and this camera will probably become THE camera for vloggers soon. The downside I quickly noticed is that it will be impossible to plug in an external microphone. If you want to see yourself with the camera, you’ll probably have to buy a SmallRig China, which will probably come out very close to the release date. Have a nice day, Jim
