You can read the new regulations on the Transport Canada website as of this morning.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/nouvelle-reglementation-des-drone-canada-quebec-commercial\/mindsoul_production_drone_quebec_nouvelle_regle\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-921\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-921\" src=\"https:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/mindsoul_production_drone_quebec_nouvelle_regle.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"792\" height=\"62\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find the new rules <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2M0TFSF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a>. What&#8217;s more, a new, super-easy-to-understand Web Portal is available for registering, taking exams and passing the new permanent COAS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/nouvelle-reglementation-des-drone-canada-quebec-commercial\/portal_pilote_drone_quebec_mindsoul_production\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-925\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-925\" src=\"https:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/portal_pilote_drone_quebec_Mindsoul_production-1024x677.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"669\" height=\"442\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Extract from Transport Canada:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advanced operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you meet <strong>one of<\/strong> the following conditions, you can perform advanced operations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You want to fly your drone in controlled airspace<\/li>\n<li>Would you like to fly your drone over passers-by?<\/li>\n<li>If you wish to fly your drone at a horizontal distance of less than 30 metres (100 feet) from passers-by<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For advanced operations, here are some of the rules to follow:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tc.gc.ca\/fr\/services\/aviation\/securite-drones\/immatriculation-drone.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Register your drone<\/a> with Transport Canada before using it for the first time.<\/li>\n<li>Mark your drone with its registration number<\/li>\n<li>Passing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tc.gc.ca\/fr\/services\/aviation\/securite-drones\/obtenir-certificat-pilote-drone\/examen-avancees.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the &#8220;advanced operations&#8221; exam<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tc.gc.ca\/fr\/services\/aviation\/securite-drones\/obtenir-certificat-pilote-drone\/revision-vol.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A successful in-flight review<\/a> with a flight evaluator<\/li>\n<li>Be able to produce your pilot certificate &#8211; advanced operations and proof of registration when you fly your drone on request<\/li>\n<li>Pilot your drone within operational limits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can only use drones that meet the safety requirements of the advanced operations you wish to carry out. See our tips for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tc.gc.ca\/fr\/services\/aviation\/securite-drones\/choisir-bon-drone.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">choosing the right drone<\/a> before you fly one. If you hold a pilot certificate &#8211; advanced operations, it is not necessary to obtain a pilot certificate &#8211; basic operations in order to carry out basic operations. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/nouvelle-reglementation-des-drone-canada-quebec-commercial\/img_7929\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-919\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-919\" src=\"https:\/\/mindsoulproduction.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_7929-1024x609.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"686\" height=\"408\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A few reservations about the new regulations: DJI drones are not on the list of drones authorized for advanced operations. I will contact DJI to find out their position on this new regulation.
